These days, aside from Idol entries, I pretty much exclusively read high fantasy so this was a treat. You manage to create such a rich, mysterious, almost mythological world so quickly. There's such a melancholy, somber tone to this that really makes it beautiful. It's a story of magic, but more than that it's a story of family. I really enjoyed this.
