Thank you. Because she was so little and her bones pliable, the specialists at CHOP(hila) without surgery, but using CT scanning eased her Odontoid process back into place, and crafted a brace, instead of a HALO, that was fashioned from fiberglass. it went across her forehead, with cutouts for her face, ears, and arms. Coming to a stop at her pelvis. It had two snap closures on her right side so you could lay her down and bathe her... she hated it. She really doesn't have any lasting effects. At least not that we've been told, or noticed. Do you know she never complained or took so much as one tylenol!

The ceiling falling on her - that was quite the scene. I'm just glad we lived close enough to walk to and back. Several children needed stiches, one little girl almost lost her ear, and the rest had bumps and bruises. My Alicia had stripes like a tiger going across and down her back. And I can not remember what caused the ceiling to fall!
