I love the nostalgia in this. Memories of homes are so captivating and beautiful. I love the cowboy boots in the snow, and laughing as you lifted him. I can so imagine myself doing the same. I love the night time routine of your son joining his sister each night, a few times, hehe. Did he usually fall asleep in his own bed, or did he fall asleep with her a lot?
I just saw your response to babydramatic_1950 above, and I'm in awe of what the doctors could do to help your daughter. It's amazing she was ultimately ok after all that!! What an intense time. And the ceiling in her classroom, too! Good god.
I also love that the pumpkin seeds grew so many full pumpkins the following year!
